DJI Mavic Pro 2 Confirmed To Launch On August 23rd During “See the Bigger Picture” Event
The rumors about an alleged DJI Mavic Pro 2 have been roaming around the rumor mills in the past. The speculations about the drone can now be laid to rest as the Shenzhen-based drone manufacturer already confirmed its launch on August 23rd during the “See the Bigger Picture” event.

According to Drone Below, they received an official invitation confirming the newly announced date and location for DJI’s ‘See the Bigger Picture.’ The said event will be held on August 23rd at 10:00 a.m. EST in New York.
It can be recalled that there have been numerous speculations about the DJI Mavic Pro 2 release date. In fact, it was believed to make its first appearance on July 18 but then, this doesn’t materialize. The said date was then called off so that DJI can deliver according to the company’s standard of innovation.
In addition, the news about the DJI Mavic Pro 2 was publicized because of the break of restriction by UK print catalog Argos. This has left DJI no option but to ratify the news

When it comes to the new features of the DJI Mavic Pro 2, it is yet to be confirmed on the day of its launch. Luckily, a photo from Argos magazine was able to spill little information about the specs but then, these are still advised to be taken with skepticism and let’s wait for the confirmation.
Based on the magazine, the Mavic Pro 2 will have to versions: a Pro and a Zoom. The Pro variety shows a professional camera system, which was a Hasselblad camera that features a 1 inch CMOS sensor. Meanwhile, the Zoom version is advertised to flaunt a 2x optical zoom (24-48mm).
Both of these versions will ‘turn your sky into a creative canvas’, according to Argos’ advertisement. Moreover, it also states that both of these models will be capable of flying for 31 minutes, at a top speed of more than 70kph. Aside from that, both will be capable of transmitting 1080p videos live over 8km, and both sport 360-degree obstacle avoidance.

As for the price, there’s no available detail about it. Nevertheless, a Twitter personality OsitaLV has predicted that the price tag of DJI Mavic Pro 2 will be something around the DJI Phantom 4 Pro 2.0 price, which would be about $AU1800. This will be in comparison with DJI Mavic Pro price which starts from $1,399.
