DJI Mavic 2 To Appear On "See The Bigger Picture" Event, Ongoing Quiz Lets You Receive The Mavic 2 'Pro' and 'Zoom' Faster
Just a few days from now, DJI will be hosting its “See the Bigger Picture” event and we’re expecting the Mavic 2 to be presented there. According to its announcement video, the event is scheduled to be held on August 23, 201,8 in New York at 10:00 AM EDT.
It was originally scheduled to be held last month but was postponed because “user experience and standard of innovation factors” were not up to the desired level. Hopefully, everything will go according to plan.
What Drones Can We Expect To Appear There?
Thanks to an accidental leak made by Argos, a British catalogue retailer operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland, last month, we are expecting the Mavic 2 “Pro” and “Zoom” versions to at least appear on the event.
Both drones are capable of 1080p video transmission, 8k, transmission distance, max speed of 20m/s, 31 minutes of flight time, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing with APAS and Active Track 2.0. However, they differ in cameras because the Pro version will feature a Hasselblad camera with a 1-inch sensor, while the Zoom version will have a 2X optical zoom lens (24mm – 48mm).
Another drone that’s been rumored to appear on the event is the “Phantom 5.” In addition to this, there is a “Phantom 5 X” which according to reports had its original release date pushed to late 2018.
How Much Will It Cost?
For its price tags, a report suggests that the Mavic 2 could start at around £1,299 / $1,299. In addition to this, there will be an extra £200 / US$200 or so for a Fly More bundle.
DJI’s Ongoing Special Event
The company has just recently launched a Quiz where participants will have to answer all question correctly and submit them before the deadline. If you win, you will have “DJI Select Membership” which will give you exclusive benefits and discounts on DJI products and “DJI Credit” which is a virtual currency that can be used to pay on the DJI Online Store.
However, for those who were not lucky enough to win, they will receive a “Priority Shipping Coupon” which will grant them early access to new products. It isn’t all that bad, right?
