DJI Mavic 2 Pro vs. Phantom 4 Pro v2.0: Which Drone Should Take The Top Spot?
DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 were just two of the amazing drones from the Chinese tech giant. Now, these two devices will be compared to prove which one should take the top spot in the drone market.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 Specs Comparison
Without further ado, here are the specs and features comparison of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0:
According to We Talk UAV, the newly released DJIMavic 2 Pro is rated with a 31-minute flight time, whereas the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is assessed to fly up to 30 minutes. It is worth noting that the said flight times were clocked in the most perfect surroundings. With that being said, the real-world tests often end up being shorter due to some factors like wind.
For the purpose of testing which drone flies lengthier, both drones soared side by side. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro landed at 23 minutes and 3 seconds the moment it reached 10% battery. On the other hand, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro landed at 25 minutes and 26 seconds at 10% battery. Soaring and flying with the wind powers flight times in a different way, but seeing that the DJI Mavic 2 Pro flew over 2 minutes longer than the drone that was assessed to fly just 1 minute less, DJI certainly improved the DJI Mavic 2 Pro’s flight competence.
Low Light Video
Since the color profiles of these drones from DJI are slightly different, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro was armed with 10-bit HLG mode, while the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 was fortified with the nearest matching color profile, the D-Cinelike.
It is worth mentioning that the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 both have 20 MP cameras and 1” sensors. Nonetheless, the DJI Phantom 4 Pro’s camera was astonishingly better in low light. Also, it is significant to emphasize that the videos and photos from both drones presented that the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 constantly shot footage with less noise compared to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
Despite that there was more noise in the DJI Mavic 2 Pro footage; the Chinese tech company’s latest quadcopter offers its users more flexibility in post. The reason behind this is the increased dynamic range.
At the end of the test, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro showed more vibrant colors. Nonetheless, it also had more noise in the low light scenarios. But despite that, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro was able to prove that it is better overall drone compared to the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, wherein the post editing is needed to make its footage shine.
