DJI Mavic 2 'Alleged' Photos Reveal Interesting Details
This year, expected to be released is the DJI Mavic 2 which is why it comes as no surprise that every now and then new details regarding about it will be uncovered. For this article, let’s review the “alleged” photos of the Mavic 2 and the details surrounding it.
The Alleged Photos
Thanks to the photos obtained by Photo Rumors we now have a better idea on what the upcoming drones could look like. Let’s check them out, shall we?
Take a look at the first photo. It was published last July 29, 2018, and it features the Mavic 2 Enterprise version.
For the second photo, it was published last July 7, 2018, and features the Mavic 2. Regarding its features, it has:
- Improved form factor
- Two different sensor sizes
- A removable gimbal similar to the GoPro Karma
- A larger motor
- No “quiet” propellers
- Foldable legs
- 360 degrees obstacle avoidance
In the third photo, it also features the Mavic 2. This was the accidental leak made by Argos a few days ago. It features:
- 1080p video transmission
- 8km transmission distance
- Max speed of 20m/s
- It has a compact size
- 31 minutes of flight time
- The omnidirectional obstacle sensing with APAS and Active Track 2.0
- It will have “Dolly Zoom” but this is only for its Zoom version.
So When Is the Release Date?
Initially, it was expected to be unveiled on the DJI’s “See the bigger picture” event which was scheduled for July 18, 2018, but was postponed and will be rescheduled “in the not distant future”. So in regards to its release date, it’s hard to say. However, one report suggests that it will come this month.
The Price Tag
As for the price tag, well, there’s no official announcement about it yet. However, a report speculates that it could start with a price tag of $1,299.
