Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Wedding Outfit Decoded
Bollywood fans around the globe have been ecstatic ever since two of their favourite actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their wedding dates, after months of speculations in national and international media. The couple, who first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 magnum opus Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela, married each other on 14th and 15th November in Lake Como, Italy, in a closely-guarded affair attended only by a select group of family and friends.
After tying the nuptial knot in two different ceremonies, a Konkani ceremony on Wednesday followed by a Sindhi one on Thursday, the duo shared the first two pictures of their much-talked-about wedding on their social media accounts. The pictures crashed the internet as they went viral within minutes of getting uploaded. In the pictures, Deepika and Ranveer are seen wearing ace designer Sabyasachi’s wedding outfits. Both are looking straight out of a fairytale. Netizens are going gaga over how exquisitely the wedding outfits of the bride and bridegroom have been designed.

On her special day, Deepika wore a Sabyasachi outfit adorned in red and gold with an auspicious message written on dupatta, apart from intricate embroidery on the border. The words weaved on the dupatta reads, “sada saubhagyawati bhava”. The ring that Deepika is seen wearing costs around 1.3 to 2.7 crore, as per reports.
Sabyasachi, whose embellished designs are considered pitch perfect the traditions of Indian weddings, used bright, lavish colours traditionally favoured by Indian brides. Aside from the wedding outfits, the designer had also designed Padukone’s outfits for all the pre-wedding festivities.
Deepika and Ranveer are expected to return to India on 18th November to host two receptions. The first reception will take place on November 21 in Bengaluru and the second one on November 28 in Mumbai.
