Cydia Impactor Now Supports iOS 12; Hidden iOS 12 Features You Probably Didn't Know

Great news to the jailbreak community as they have something worth celebrating. The Cydia Impactor has been updated with support for iOS 12.

The Update

Last Monday, the Cupertino-based tech company released the iOS 12. And although there hasn’t been any been any jailbreak solution for it as of now, that hasn’t stop Jay Freeman (aka Saurik) from releasing an update for the Cydia Impactor side-loading tool with official iOS 12 support.

The latest version as of now is the 0.9.46. This version supports/fix 12 codesign, it uses system SSL CA and allows the user to ignore SSL errors. To download it, you can find it at

Speaking about the iOS 12, there are many hidden features of it that you probably will find quite interesting. However, for this article, we’ll be only listing 10 of the best features.

Performance and Battery Life

With the new firmware, Apple boasts that it will have a massive impact on the battery life and performance of the device. Specifically, when it comes to performance, older phones running on the said firmware will get a speed boost of up to 70 percent when performing key functions.

Password Autofill

To get activate this function, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords to manage it. Once you’ve activated it, you’ll see an option pop up for your password manager to enter your login credentials whenever you try to log-in into a site.

Siri Shortcuts

To gain access to this feature, you must first download the Shortcuts app from the App Store. Don’t worry, it’s free.

Siri Translations

The new firmware comes with a new translation feature which is capable of translating words and sentences of more than 50 languages. Pretty cool, right?

Searching Songs By Lyrics In “Music”

On Apple’s Music app, you can just write the lyrics of the song and the song that you’re looking for will pop up in the results. You don’t need to go search engines like Google, Yahoo, and etc. anymore.

Do Not Disturb

For some people who like to take a break once in a while, the Do Not Disturb feature is perfect for you. This time around, it comes with new options.

Mute Notifications

Aside from the Do Not Disturb feature, it also comes with a feature that lets you specifically mute apps. To do this, tap the Manage button and then select “Deliver Quietly”. So whenever you receive a notification on that app that you muted, it won’t be accompanied with vibrations or notification tones.

Two-Factor Authentication Assistance

On the iOS 12, it will automatically copy and paste one-time codes from your messages into the verification code field, which honestly is a great thing because it saves a lot of time and energy. So yeah, another great feature indeed.

Second Face in Face ID

For people who hated the fact that Face ID only supports one face, great news because the new firmware now allows the second face.  To access this feature, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Set Up an Alternate Appearance.

Live Listen for AirPods

The Live Listen feature turns you AirPods into hearing aids. To access to the feature, go to Settings > Control Center > Customize and then click “Hearing”.
