BTS Launches Global Campaign ARMYPEDIA To Chronicle Special Moments From The Group's Career
Are you a BTS fan? Well, we have got an exciting piece of news for all the diehard fans of the group spread across all over the world. On February 25, the Korean group launched its ambitious ARMYPEDIA project, a global campaign aimed at chronicling special moments from the group’s historic career since its debut in 2013 up until February 21, 2019, when the ARMYPEDIA website went live. The group is led by seven immensely talented boys that include RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
I know you must be on cloud nine after hearing about this new offering from your favorite band, but let me inform you that there is a catch too. The band will not maintain the digital diary as the sole responsibility of managing and updating the diary lies with all the BTS fans. With 2,080 puzzle pieces scattered across the globe, both offline and online, in the form of QR codes, it is up to the dedicated fanbase, ARMY, to scan them all. Each code unlocks a different date from BTS’ career so far since their debut on June 13, 2013.
For each of the 2,080 days archived by ARMYPEDIA, every fan will have the opportunity to post a memorable memory about BTS related to that specific date. However, it is not going to be that easy for fans. Before unlocking a date in BTS’ history, fans will first need to find the corresponding puzzle piece.
Big Hit Entertainment, who formed the band, previously revealed that ARMYPEDIA includes 2,080 puzzle pieces in total which are hidden all over the world both online and offline. Fans are required to just discover them. Once a fan has found a puzzle piece, he or she can scan its QR code, and successfully answer a quiz question about BTS. The process will lead to the unlocking of the corresponding date and any ARMY across the globe will be able to post a memory related to that date.
