Will BTS' Music Make It To 2019 Billboard Music Award Nominations? Let’s Find Out
BTS, a seven-member South Korean boy band brought into being by Big Hit Entertainment in 2013, has become a rage among music lovers all over the world. In its short but immensely successful journey so far, the band has not only gained unprecedented popularity in various nooks and corners of the globe but has also clocked a series of national and international awards and accolades. But after the official announcement of Billboard regarding its 26th annual Billboard Music Awards, all diehard fans of BTS want to know only one thing: Will music of BTS make it to 2019 Billboard Music Award nominations? Will the boy walk away with any glittering trophy in their hands? For the uninitiated, the gala award ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2019, almost two and a half months away from now.
There is no denying the fact that the group will at least score one non-musical nomination as the boys have topped Billboard’s Social 50 for 83 consecutive weeks. Trust me, which is no mean feat considering the fact that it is the longest stretch for any artist in the chart’s history. In addition to that, the group has also held the number one position for a total of 113 non-consecutive weeks. Isn’t that frigging great?
As things stand today, we do not know whether BTS is going to win big at the forthcoming award ceremony or not, but one thing is more than certain that those numbers will almost nab them their third Best Social Artist nomination at the award ceremony. The most interesting fact about the Billboard Music Award is that fans are going to decide through their votes who will win. Does that not mean that BTS has huge chances to walk away with at least one award at the gala celebration of music? Let’s be hopeful!
