Asus Releases Two New ROG Laptops, The Strix Hero II And Strix Scar II

Asus recently released their three Zenbooks in the Indian market a few weeks ago and the company is still not yet done. Today, the company unveils their new line of ROG gaming laptops, namely the Strix Hero II and the Strix Scar II.

The two new addition to the ROG laptop line was first introduced at Computex last June in Taiwan and finally got a place to fit in India. Team 73Buzz was present at the launch event to get you the hands-on first look at the laptops.

Asus ROG or Republic of Gamers laptop line are well known to deliver high-quality specs that every gamer wanted to have. Let’s take a look at what the Hero II and the Scar II can offer.

Strix Hero II and the Strix Scar II, Under the Hood

Strix Hero II and the Strix Scar II are powered by the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7-8750H processor. The configuration is also paired with up to 32GB DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM which packs a lot of firepowers. Regarding the storage, both the Hero II and the Scar Ii features 1TB of FireCuda SSHD storage along with a PCIe SSD disk which amounts up to 512GB storage.

The pair of ROG gaming laptops sports a HyperCool Pro thermal system that handles the heat inside the system that provides extended cooling features. There are also two high powered 12 volts fans that keep the airflow running. The system also has an Anti-Dust Cooling system (ACD) that prevents specks of dust and unwanted dirt from entering the unit.

Strix Hero II and the Strix Scar II, Display and CPU

The most notable feature of the new ROG laptops is the display. Both of them showcases a 144Hz of refresh rate with a 3ms GtG response time. This means a smoother gaming experience without the presence of lag. The ROG Strix Scar II is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB and the ROG Strix Hero II has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Strix Hero II and the Strix Scar II Price

The prices for the Hero II will start at Rs 1,39,990 for the GTX 1060 GPU configuration. On the other hand, the upgraded version of the Scar II that features a GTX 1070 GPU will start at Rs 1,79,990 which will come later than the Hero II.
