Apple March 2019 Event: iPad mini 5, iPod Touch 7, AirPods 2, AirPower And Many More
We’re already in the month of March and tech enthusiasts have something to forward for. This month, Apple, one of the largest tech companies in the world, will be launching new devices.
What are these devices? Well, read on.
But First… When Is The Apple March Event?
According to reports, Apple’s March event will be held on the 25th. It is reportedly going to be held at the Steve Jobs Theatre on its Apple Park campus.
iPad mini 5
Said to come this month is the sequel to the iPad mini 4. The successor, the iPad mini 5, is reportedly going to feature the same design of the currently available model. The only difference is that it will come with a more powerful processor, possible Apple Pencil support, and a lower price tag — the 4th-generation launched with an introductory price of $399.
The currently available iPad model features a 9.7-inch screen and an Apple A10 Fusion chip. For the 2019 iPad, it is rumored to come with an upgraded processor and a new 10.2-inch display size.
7th-Generation iPod Touch
Another device that’s expected to come this month is the iPod Touch 7. However, not much is known about it. As noted by a report, it will feature the same design as 6th-generation iPod touch with no Face ID or Touch ID. Moreover, it is also expected to come with a faster A-series processor and that Apple will likely keep the price low.
As we noted in our article, the AirPods 2 is rumored to come with Bluetooth 5.0, biometric sensors, noise canceling, wireless charging (thanks to AirPower), case speaker, water resistance, and capable of activating Siri without ever touching the earbuds. As for its price, it’s could feature at least a similar price tag to the existing AirPods which is $159.
The AirPower was expected to arrive last year as Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, announced to the world back in September 2017, “Look for the AirPower charger next year.” Hopefully, it will arrive this year.
As for its price tag, there have been some changes throughout the years. At first, it was $294, then $199, then $145, then $99, and now the latest from MySmartPrice which is $149.
For the other remaining items, these include the Apple News Service, Apple News Magazine Service, Streaming TV service, and the iOS 12.2 firmware.
