Apple Rumors: iPad Mini 5 And iPad 7 Launching In First Half Of 2019
The iPad mini 5 and iPad 7 are one of the highly anticipated Apple products this year, which is why it comes to no surprise that tech enthusiasts and fans are always on the lookout for new rumors, leaks and official talks about it. This time around, reports are suggesting that both are set to launch in the first half of 2019.
Coming In The First Half Of 2019
According to a report, DigiTimes noted on their article that sources claimed that Apple is reportedly planning “to launch two entry-level tablets in the first half of 2019, including a fifth-generation iPad mini and another entry-level iPad model”.
Apple releasing the iPad 7 in the first half of the year comes to no surprise at all because over the years, its predecessors, specifically 2016, 2017 and 2018 models, have been announced and released in the month of March. As for the iPad mini 5, it’s the opposite if you look at the announcement and release dates of its predecessors:
- Apple iPad mini Wi-Fi (2012) – Announced in October, released on November
- Apple iPad mini 2 (2013) – Announced in October, released on November
- Apple iPad mini 3 (2014) – Announced and released on October
- Apple iPad mini 4 (2015) – Announced and released on September
As you can see, the previous models of the iPad mini have been announced and released in the second of the year. If what DigiTimes’ sources claim is true, then it will indeed come as a surprise.
