The Australian-based digital camera company Blackmagic Design launched the new Blackmagic eGPU Pro in late October. This is the same day the tech giant Apple unveiled their new Mac mini and MacBook Air.

According to MacRumors, the latter just updated its webpage and added an online store listing for the upcoming Blackmagic eGPU Pro. In the said listing, the product would be pushed to December and will not be coming in late November. As usual, the “December” does not specifically indicate the exact information on when the product might actually be released.

Many are speculating that the company might unveil the new Blackmagic eGPU Pro on December 1 or sometime later in the month. Before the webpage was updated, the product was destined to be released late this month.

In terms of specification, the upcoming product will feature an impressive build quality, quietness of the unit, and an improved AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics processor. It will have the same all-in-one aluminum enclosure like the non-Pro Blackmagic eGPU. The new processor will also address power issues.

The upcoming product will be a thin and light machine like the new MacBook Air. It will work well with Apple’s Thunderbolt 3-enabled Macs such as the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro, and the Mac mini. It will also run staggering graphics-intensive workloads that were only possible on the current iMac Pro. Its performance will be enhanced in games, video editing, and more.

Other expected features of the upcoming product include the 8GB MBM2 memory, four USB 3 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and HDMI 2.0 port. The product will offer 85W of power delivery and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. Once available, it will cost $1,199, which is more expensive than the original model because of the overall enhanced features. As of now, the original version with the Radeon Pro 580 graphics processor is sold at $699 on the company’s website.
