It seems that the long wait is almost over. The tech giant Apple has already confirmed the possible release of its AirPower wireless charger this year. The wireless charging iPhone 8 and iPhone X were announced back in September 2017. At the same time, the company revealed their plan to develop its own wireless charging pad.

According to Macworld, the Apple AirPower is the name of the company’s wireless charging mat. This could possibly charge up to three Apple devices at once—these include an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. The white mat is large enough to accommodate these devices with a single power lead connected to it. So, the charger itself still needs to be plugged in.

This wireless charger will feature a custom Apple chip running iOS to conduct on-device power management. This is capable of managing the charging system intelligently. All the devices connected to the charger could look like they work together on how much power need in each device. They seemed to communicate with each other.

The release date of this wireless charging mat is expected this coming September alongside the launch of the three wireless new iPhones at the company’s next event. The March and June launch events were among the first ones relating to the charger’s availability. However, the device was no show because of the speculations on a series of technical issues and supply-chain challenges that are difficult to solve right away.

When it comes to pricing, the wireless charger will hopefully not cost that much. Polish retailer X-Kom speculated at the price of about £211 or $294, while the blog site ThinkApple indicated at $199 in the US. Then lately, Chongdiantou said for around 1,000 Chinese yuan (around $145 or £114) and the AppleToolBox reported at $99 or £99.

So, do you think you will purchase the Apple AirPower for convenience or not? Let us know your thoughts and reactions by writing in the comment section below.
