Apple AirPods 2: Everything We Must Know Before the Wireless Earbuds’ Release
The tech giant Apple is going to host its 12 September event and has already sent out many invites. The AirPower charging mat is widely expected to be introduced at the event. It could also make sense if the AirPods 2 will be unveiled as well.
According to Macworld, the latest images of the new wireless charging case for the upcoming earbuds have surfaced online in the iOS 12 beta 5. Just so you will know, the first earbuds were launched in September 2016 alongside the iPhone 7 and made a big hit at that time because of its accuracy of the Siri controls and so forth.
In terms of specification, tapping the AirPods 2 activates “Hey Siri.” However, the latest model will offer the hands-free voice activation, which is now available on the current iPhone, iPad, and HomePod. The flagship feature is the noise cancellation, which will be achieved if there are physical changes in its design rather than just the active noise cancellation.
These earbuds will be water-resistant but not waterproof. It cannot be submerged in water like when you want to go swimming, but it is fine in the rain. The biometric sensors to measure heart rate may be possible. The upgraded W2 wireless chip might be included to offer 85 percent faster Wi-Fi and 50 percent more power efficient than the W1.
If the upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat will work with the latest case for the upcoming earbuds, then the case has two lights on the outside. The green light at the left side indicates the earbuds are charging. Then, the orange light signifies low power. In the old case, the indicator light was on the inside. You have to open it to know the charging status.
If this case will be released soon, this will be compatible with existing AirPods and might arrive before the upcoming earbuds or the more significantly redesigned earbuds, which is expected to arrive next year. The expected price for the upcoming earbuds will be £159 or $159 like the starting price of the first earbuds.
