It’s 2019 and tech enthusiasts are looking forward to the upcoming devices that are expected to launch this year. One of those devices is Apple’s 2019 9.7-inch iPad.

So When Can We Expect It?

Just by looking at the release dates of the previous models (2016, 2017, and 2018) over the years, the expected release date for the 2019 9.7-inch iPad is in March. Unless Apple decides to change the schedule due to a delay or something, then March 2019 is definitely the month on when the 2019 9.7-inch iPad will come.

How Much Will It Cost?

For the price tag of the 2019 iPad, MacWorld suggests that Apple will probably hit the same starting price of the 2018 model. Here are the price tags of the 2018 model:

  • iPad 9.7in (32GB, Wi-Fi): £319/$329
  • iPad 9.7in (128GB, Wi-Fi): £409/$429
  • iPad 9.7in (32GB, cellular): £449/$459
  • iPad 9.7in (128GB, cellular): £539/$559

What Are Its Rumored Specs And Features?

MacWorld listed a few rumors on what specs and features are likely going to be present on the 2019 iPad. This includes the Apple Pencil and Portrait Mode. Furthermore, it could be armed with an A11 processor chip, 2048 x 1536 screen resolution, and ProMotion tech which selectively adjusts screen refresh rate up to 120Hz depending on what you’re doing in order to preserve battery life.

But Wait… A 10-inch iPad?

Last month, 9to5Mac quoted a report from China Times about a 10-inch iPad. Apparently, the 2019 model will feature a 10-inch display instead of 9.7 inches. Moreover, it will also be featuring a thinner frame and it will debut in the second half of 2019. In regards to its price tag, it will be no different from the $329 2018 iPad and is aimed as an entry-level model.

Are you looking forward to the 2019 iPad? What are your thoughts about the screen size? Will it be 9.7 inches or 10 inches? Tell us in the comment section below.
