AMD RX Vega 64 Outperforms Nvidia GTX 1080 On Forza Horizon 4 DX12 Benchmark
On a demo of the upcoming game Forza Horizon 4 by Playground Games, AMD outshines Nvidia with its Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card. This in return puts AMD on the lead in terms of performance.
According to a report, Microsoft has just released the Forza Horizon 4 demo. On the demo, AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 64 was outperforming Nvidia’s GTX 1080 at 1080p, 1440p and native 4K as it was able to deliver more consistent frames, reduced latency, and more power efficiency. To be specific, the RX Vega 64 ran 12-20 percent faster than the GTX 1080.
Aside from the two mentioned, other GPUs were tested as well. These are:
- The RX Vega 56 which ran 2-12 percent faster compared to the GTX 1070Ti.
- Again with RX Vega 56, it ran 13-22 percent faster compared to the GTX 1070.
- The RX 580 which ran 12-16 percent faster compared to the GTX 1060 (6GB).
- The RX 570 which ran 46-58 percent faster compared to the GTX 1050Ti.
Based on the performance, we can see that it’s quite impressive. In fact, AMD has noted that they have been closely working with Playground Games in order to give Radeon players the best performance in the demo.

According to reports, this racing game is already available for pre-load for its standard and ultimate editions. The game is expected to be released on October 2, 2018. As for its size, customers will have to set aside at least 62.69 GB in order to store the game.
Lastly, for the price tags, well, there are three to be exact. The standard version costs $59.99, the Ultimate Edition $99.99, and the Deluxe Edition $79.99.
