AMD Radeon RX 590 Appears On Final Fantasy XV Benchmark, Outperforms Nvidia's Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Last week, AMD’s Radeon RX 590 graphics card was spotted at 3DMark’s database. This time around, it was spotted on Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV benchmark scoreboard. What’s interesting about the said graphics card is that performs better than the Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 1060 6GB.
About Nvidia GPUs
The Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB was released in July of 2016. It featured two price tags $249 (MSRP) and $299 (Founders Edition).
On the other hand, the RX 590’s launch date is supposedly on November 15 – according to PC Builder’s Club. We don’t exactly know how much will it cost, but the Radeon RX 580 4GB (released on April of 2017) came with a launch price of $199, while the Radeon RX 580X 8GB (released on April of 2018) cost $229.
Tom’s Hardware compared the performance difference between the Geforce GTX 1060 6GB and the upcoming Radeon RX 590.
2560 x 1440 Resolution
For the lite quality, the AMD RX 590 scored 6,398, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 5,993. This revealed that AMD’s GPU is 6.76 percent faster.
For the standard quality, the RX 590 scored 4,802, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 4,468. AMD’s graphics card is 7.48 percent faster.
For the high quality, the RX 590 scored 3,570, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 3,595. Here, AMD’s GPU failed to take the lead, making it -0.7 percent slower.
3840 x 2160 Resolution
For the lite quality, the RX 590 scored 3,528, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 3,262. AMD’s graphics card is 8.15 percent faster.
For the standard quality, the RX 590 scored 2,537, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 2,322. Here, AMD’s GPU is impressively 9.26 percent faster.
For the high quality, the RX 590 scored 2,122, while GTX 1060 6GB scored 1,984. Again, AMD’s graphics card was able to take the lead, outperforming Nvidia’s graphics card by 6.96 percent.
The Radeon RX 580
There was also a comparison review between the AMD RX 590 and RX 580. With the 2560 x 1440 resolution, the RX 590 was 10.44 percent faster on lite quality, 11.05 percent faster on the standard quality, and 13.01 percent faster on the high quality.
On the other hand, we have the 3840 x 2160 resolution. For the lite quality, the RX 590 was 11.5 percent faster. Standard quality, 10.69 percent faster. Lastly, high quality, 16.85 percent faster.
