Alibaba Working On iOS 11.2.2 Jailbreak, Report Claims
It was last Christmas when the iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak tool has been available for iPhone X and other newer devices. Now, jailbreak team Alibaba has been reportedly working on iOS 11.2.2 exploit.
Apple has rolled out the iOS 11.2.2 last week and the newest OS version is now available for the iPhone and iPad. Nonetheless, Redmond Pie stated in its article that there is no information yet if it can be jailbroken since there is still no public confirmation about this as of the moment.
It can be recalled that there has been news last month that, Alibaba Pandora Labs has been reportedly working on the iOS 11.2.1 jailbreak tool. If this jailbreak team will be successful in their endeavor, then it will give the hackers a base for the iOS 11.2.2 exploit.
The reason behind this is that after the release of iOS 11.2.2, Apple’s Security Content webpage doesn’t indicate any of the exploits utilized by the Alibaba. Apple does recognize the teams or individual hackers who report or vend bugs to the company to patch in software upgrades. With that being said, a jailbreak for the iPhone X and iOS 11.2.2 may not be too much to wish for.
Unluckily, even if the speculations about the iOS 11.2.2 jailbreak tool are correct and it can be jailbroken utilizing the above-mentioned exploit by Alibaba, the tool may not be released to the public. As a matter of fact, Alibaba Pandora Labs has already confirmed that it will keep any upcoming jailbreak to itself for research purposes.
With that, if a tweaked or altered jailbreak is necessary, it is improbable that the team will let Apple in on its skeleton in the cupboard. That simply means that users could be in an ill-fated situation of knowing a jailbreak for iOS 11.2.2 subsists, but they can never try and use it.
