After My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar to Join Forces Again?
Well, if there is one director-actor duo in Bollywood that has never disappointed the audience with their films, it has to be none other than Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. In the first four films of his directorial career, Karan worked with Khan only.
The journey which began with Johar’s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) has seen mega blockbusters such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006) and My Name is Khan (2010) over the years. Khan, in fact, appeared in a special cameo in Karan Johar’s last movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) also.
A couple of days ago, Karan had revealed that he is gearing up to begin work on his next directorial, which he is currently writing. Now, while talking about his next project, he admits that he would like to team up with megastar Shah Rukh Khan once again.
“I just can’t wait to share cinema space with Shah Rukh again. In the last few years, we co-produced films together such as Student Of The Year (2012) and Dear Zindagi (2016) but now I can’t wait to collaborate with him in a full-fledged manner because I know whenever we do something together, it will be extraordinary and amazing,” Karan says.
When asked directly if Shah Rukh is indeed going to headline his next, the award-winning filmmaker says, “Well, now that I am back from my birthday break, I will take all those decisions but I know one thing, Shah Rukh has been one of my best experiences in cinema ever and it’s something that I can’t wait to repeat,” concludes Karan.
Meanwhile, SRK is shooting for his forthcoming film Zero. He is also rumored to be toplining Siddharth Roy Kapur’s space odyssey film Salute and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3.
