If there is one Bollywood actor who Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has always spoken highly of, it is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. Khan has, on many occasions, praised Kapoor for the choices he has made as an actor over the years.

After making his acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya (2007), Ranbir has hardly starred in any nondescript film. He has chosen his scripts wisely, without falling prey to commercial trappings of moviemaking business, and that has caught Aamir Khan’s attention more often than not.

“RK has picked movies that are different from the run-of-the-mill ones. Be it Barfi (2012), which was a hit, or Bombay Velvet (2015), which failed at the BO, he has always been ready to take risks. Aamir appreciates that” a source says while talking about how Aamir has always liked Ranbir’s risk-taking spirit.

Some media outlets also report that Khan has jokingly said to Ranbir that he would like to help him locking his scripts. “Aamir has even teased Ranbir that if he wants, he would be happy to read his scripts and offer suggestions,” adds the source. “AK has told Ranbir that he will be his script doctor, only if the latter takes his suggestions seriously. Aamir wants him to take the right steps or else the entire exercise will be futile.”

Well, if a phenomenal actor like Aamir Khan, who boasts of 30 years of experience in the industry,  agrees to mentor Ranbir in script selection, what more could have the latter asked for? We feel the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) actor should readily accept the offer.

Talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming line-up of films, the actor will shortly be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s biographical drama, Sanju. He has also kicked-off the first shooting schedule of his next film, Brahmastra, alongside Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Amitabh Bachchan. The actor also toplines Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera, which begins production later this year.
