5G OnePlus 7 Will Be Priced Around $250 More Than OnePlus 6T
The Chinese-based OnePlus is getting keen on providing the best tech improvements. The 5G OnePlus smartphone that is presumed to be called OnePlus 7 is coming next year and will be the first commercially available 5G handset in Europe. Lots of companies make bold claims to be the first to release such a device. This means that a lot of competition is bound to happen soon.
According to Gizmodo, the company’s chief executive officer Pete Lau provides a little tidbit about the pricing and variants of this 5G-capable handset. He confirmed that there will be two variants set to arrive. He said this at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2018 and informed that the price will be more expensive than their phones used to be.
Regarding pricing, the first variant of the OnePlus 7 will be a 4G product while the second one will be 5G that will be priced up about £200 more than 6T. The amount of $200 to $300 is about £155 to £235. This means that you will have to pay extra for the 5G service. The company wants to offer these variants especially the 4G version alongside the 5G variant to keep competitive.
This makes sense because a lot of upgrades had been done in the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset without controlling its capabilities. Lau only mentioned about the other upgrades available on the chipset. The Elite Gaming mode is improved for better graphical capabilities and high-speed multiplayer gaming when 5G is used.
The company is pushing ahead in the 5G space for the Internet of Things to create greater value for the user. They don’t want to make a lot of different devices. They just want to see something a little different. The name of their first 5G phone and its release date are not yet confirmed. However, many speculated that the company’s next phone that will be the first to market in Europe may be the OnePlus 7.
