2019 Upcoming Smartphones From Xiaomi, Samsung, Google, And More

There are a bunch of smartphones that expected to come this year from Xiaomi, Samsung, Google, and many more. What are these smartphones?

Xiaomi Poco F2

According to 91mobiles, the Xiaomi Poco F2 is rumored to be released on February 20, 2019, with a price tag of Rs. 26,990 ($388). As for its rumored specs and features, it’s expected to come with a 6.3-inch display, Snapdragon 845 chip, 6GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 16MP+8MP rear camera, 16MP front camera, will run on Android 9.0 Pie, and be powered by a 4100 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Smartphone With 48MP?!

According to Android Authority, Xiaomi teased a 48MP smartphone last month. Yes, a phone with a 48MP camera. At the moment, it’s unclear how this new device will fit in with the rest of the Redmi range. There are speculations that it could be a sequel to Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro or perhaps an all-new Redmi family.

However, GSMArena recently reported about a Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone to which they previously reported was going to sport a triple camera setup.

On GSMArena’s recent report, the Xiaomi Mi 9 will allegedly feature a 48MP main shooting (equipped with Sony’s IMX586 sensor), alongside a secondary 12 MP cam and a 3D TOF camera. It will sport a 6.4-inch screen, water notch design, 24MP front camera (also with IMX586 sensor), Snapdragon 855, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, runs on Android 9 Pie, 3,500 mAh battery and 32W fast charging.

It is expected to be made available in March. Meanwhile, the entry model, 6GB+128GB, will cost CNY 2,999 ($436).

Xiaomi Mi A3

According to a report, a Xiaomi phone codenamed orchid_sprout is currently in the works. This is speculated to be the Xiaomi Mi A3 because the Mi A1 was codenamed tissot_sprout, Mi A2 was jasmine_sprout, and Mi_A2 Lite was daisy_sprout.

Regarding the specs and features, The Leaker reports that it will come with a 6.2-inch display, Snapdragon 670, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage. Moreover, it will sport a 12MP+12MP primary camera, 20MP secondary camera, and a 3,300 mAh battery.

The said device’s global release is expected to be in the middle of Q3 2019. As for its price tag, the 4GB/64GB model is reported to cost 15,000 INR ($216), while the 6GB/128GB 17,000 INR ($245).

Samsung M-Series

According to Timesnownews, Samsung is reportedly working on an M-series affordable smartphones: M10, M20, and M30 which will sport Infinity-V displays. The report notes that the M10 and M20 have been confirmed to arrive at the Indian market, while the M30 is still yet to be confirmed.

What about the other information? 91mobiles reported that they are expected to hit the Indian market in late January. As for their rumored price, specs and features:

Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite

According to Pocket-lint, both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite are expected to launch in early 2019. As for their price tags, they are reported to costs between $400 to $500.

OnePlus 7

According to Techadvisor, the OnePlus 7 could be launch in May/June of 2019. It is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 855 chip, 6.41-inch display, in-display sensor, and wireless charging. There’s also an expectation that it will support up to 12GB RAM with 8GB RAM as the standard.

Regarding the price tag, it’s still unknown. All we can do at the moment is look at the price of previous models.

  • OnePlus 5T – starts $499 and heads up to $559
  • OnePlus 6 – starts $529 and heads up to $579
  • OnePlus 6T – starts $549 and heads up to $629

Moto G7

Expected to come this year is Motorola’s Moto G7. According to Igyaan, it is expected to launch in the month of April and come with a price tag of around Rs 15,000 which roughly translates to $216.

Based on the FCC listings, the Moto G7 will be armed with a Snapdragon 660 SoC which consists of an Octa-Core CPU and the Adreno 512 GPU. Moreover, it will also come with dual SIM cards support, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage – though Motorola is also expected to launch higher storage capacity variants.
