Every year, Apple releases products, both software and hardware, that many tech enthusiasts and especially devoted Apple fans look forward to. And for this year, we have three major Apple devices that fans are expecting: the Mac Pro 2019, iPhone 11 (aka iPhone XI), and the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019.

Regarding the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019, there have been reports citing rumors, speculations and leaks about it. Even well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier this year that Apple plans to launch a 16-inch MacBook Pro this year. This time around, there’s a new prediction about the said 16-inch MacBook Pro given by Jeff Lin the Associate Director of Consumer Electronics at IHS Markit.

The Prediction

According to Lin, they expect the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019 to arrive on September 19, 2019 if there’s no unexpected development issue. It will feature an LCD display with a screen resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels and LG will be the supplier for the display.

But Is It Really Coming This September Though?

Having a MacBook Pro with a 16-inch screen is impressive because it will serve as the largest screen on a MacBook in Apple’s current lineup. But if it will arrive in September along with the iPhone 11, wouldn’t it be overshadowed by the iPhone? But thinking about how Apple released the MacBook Pro last year, it wouldn’t be surprising that Cupertino-based tech would do such a thing. And plus, they already have the modular Mac Pro 2019 that’s been confirmed by Apple to arrive this fall — reports even speculate that the Mac Pro 2019 will also arrive this September.

However, if we, 73Buzz, are going to give our own opinion on how we would like to see Apple handle the release dates of the iPhone 11, 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019 and the Mac Pro 2019, this would be the schedule:

  • September 2019………………iPhone 11
  • October 2019…………………..16-inch MacBook Pro 2019
  • December 2019……………….Mac Pro 2019

The reason as to why we chose October is because Apple typically holds 3-4 events annually: March, June, September and October. An October event will be held if Apple has some Macs or other Apple devices to release.

As for why we chose December 2019 for the release date of the new Mac Pro, this is because the previous model was released in December 2013.
