The website of Xiaomi India suggested that the Mi A1 is not anymore available on sale in India indicating its discontinuation. This situation strongly gives us clues that the availability of the Mi A2 (Mi 6X) is arriving in the coming days.

The reign of the Xiaomi Mi A1 seems to come to an end ever since it was introduced in India in September 2017 as the Android One version of the Mi 5X, which was sold in China. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, as well as partners outside Delhi, halted the supplies since the last billing was done months ago. However, you can still be notified of its availability if you will sign up on the website.

According to Indian Express, the official invite from Xiaomi does not exactly confirm that the Mi 6X (aka Mi A2) will be launched on April 25 in China. However, many speculated that the Mi 5X successor will be unveiled on that said date as the Mi 6X with MIUI, not Mi A2.

In terms of specification, the Xiaomi Mi 6X (Mi A2) is rumored to feature a 5.99-inch full high-definition display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 pixels by 1080 pixels. The device is also speculated to get powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC processor paired with two variants: 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory storage, as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB model.

In the photography department, the Xiaomi Mi 6X (Mi A2) will flaunt a 12-megapixel rear sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and capable of recording 4K videos. The upcoming device will also have a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with the same aperture and an LED flash. However, Mi 6X (Mi A2) will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack support.

Fueling the Xiaomi Mi 6X (Mi A2) will be a 2910mAh capacity battery with AI features onboard. The starting price for this upcoming device is believed to be the same as that of the Mi 5X, which is around $239 (¥1499).
