Tonight, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, is scheduled to speak to a live audience and discuss some details at the GTC Taiwan 2018 Keynote. Among the topics he is expected to talk about, many people are hoping that Huang will spill some juicy details regarding the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1180.

GTC Taiwan 2018 Keynote

The Keynote is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time. It will be available via livestream. Regarding what are the expected topics Huang will discuss, an article at PC Games N suggests that it could be about:

  • Volta-powered data-center stuff
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • How BM2 and Tensor Cores make the GV100 Tesla and Quadro cards powerful

Aside from that, the article also noted that there’s also the possibility of Huang discussing hockey and golf-playing robots, and self-driving cars. But if you ask me, I have mixed feelings about the “hockey and golf-playing robots” topic.

Will There Be Any Details Regarding Geforce GTX 1180?

Just like most publication sites, the speculation is that there’s only little chance of Huang discussing the Nvidia GTX 1180. However, a published article at Gizmodo notes that though NVIDIA is known as a company that doesn’t tend to go into super big detail about new products at GTC, they have, in the past, hinted or done short announcements for their gaming line. With this, assuming that the company is planning to release a new line of GPUs specifically for the cryptocurrency, then announcing it at GTC isn’t actually a bad place at all.

Take for example last year’s GTC keynote. As you may remember, Huang showcased the Tesla V100 and some Final Fantasy XIV: Kingsglaive cinematics.

So what do you guys think? Will Huang be discussing the Geforce GTX 1180 on tonight’s upcoming keynote? What about the possibility of him talking about hockey and golf-playing robots? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below.
