Sony is not wasting its time as it is already working on the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium. Months before the XZ2 Premium even reached stores, it is looking like its successor is already going to be a major force in the smartphone market.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium’s massive screen

It is reported that the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium will have a large, high-resolution 18:9 screen (3840 x 1920), according to Trusted Reviews. This will mean that the Japanese tech company will be sticking with its gorgeous “Ambient Flow” design. Apart from the wide screen, the XZ3 Premium will also get narrower bezels as part of the now-classic style of its predecessors.

Rumor has it that the XZ3 Premium has also been tested with the Android 9.0. Known by most people as the Android P, this new Android consumer build will serve as the first phone in the line to get the OS update upon release.

Other new XZ3 Premium specs and features

It looks like the XZ3 Premium will also have a glass back, according to Digital Trends. Leaked pictures of the phone indicate that it would follow the XZ2 in having a glass and metal sandwich structure. It also looks like the phone may end up having front-facing stereo speakers. This is because the photos show a bigger top and bottom for the phone.

The XZ3 Premium will also have optimal performance due to its improved specs. It will have a 6GB RAM and a Snapdragon 845 processor. Buyers will also be given the choice of storage between 64GB and 128GB. MicroSD cards of up to 400GB are also supported.
