Rumoured Oculus GO to Launch at Facebook F8 Developer Conference
Virtual reality gadgets/devices are creating quite a stir among millennials. Games and immersive reality are now within the reach. While VR or AR market is in warm-up stage at present. VR (Virtual Reality) headsets are successfully carving a separate consumer engagement model of their own. This year in May, be ready to witness one more significant launch in VR/AR headset market. Oculus go is scheduled to see its first release during this developer’s conference, as per fresh rumors.
Andrew Bosworth, Facebook’s VP (AR & VR), tweeted about the F8 conference to feature “the biggest AR/VR news from Facebook to date”. And, refused to divulge any further details about the said tweet. Technology experts are speculating it to be the rumored Oculus Go VR headset, while they’re looking forward to this event, in particular.
Oculus Go VR Headset Specs
The first look of Oculus Go was displayed during October, last year. The price, however, was not released. Now the stipulated price would be between $129-499. The headset will be manufactured by famous mobile giant, Xiaomi, and sports a Snapdragon 821 processor. Two variants with 32 GB and 64GB storage are proposed, in terms of the storage capacity of the VR headset. Though, the device doesn’t incorporate positional tracking and motion controllers, yet. Besides the base model, Xiaomi is also working on its prototype, which will offer positional tracking to users. In the market for VR headsets, Oculus Go faces competition from HTC Vive pro, Samsung’s Gear VR, Google Daydream View, and Sony Playstation VR.
The landscape of virtual or augmented reality looks all green & fresh! In comparison to expansive gaming, VR is much more than just an extension.
