Google Pixel 3
For Google’s third generation Pixel device, the week has been an eventful time, solidifying the existence of the Pixel 3. According to the latest reports, the Pixel 3 is indeed in the works and is coming with a much-needed improvement cellular connectivity-wise.
Through the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Google has released a new commit confirming not only the Pixel 3 but also a new HAL component, which will allegedly improve the phone’s connectivity. Aside from this, the new feature is also intended to decrease battery strain when users are scanning for networks. In addition, the new upgrade will also implement continuous scanning of networks.
When it comes to the OnePlus6, all speculations point to the device being in the high-end bracket. The latest leaks reveal that the new phone from the Chinese-based phone manufacturer will come with nothing but the best specs. According to TechRadar, first on this list is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, which is similarly installed in Samsung’s S9 series. In addition to this, the smartphone will be coming in three variants differentiated by storage capacity –256GB, 64GB, and 128GB. As for the RAM, the phone will come with a speculated standard of 8GB.
In terms of features, the OnePlus 6 will be dropping imbued with a 6.2-inch bezel-less screen display. In addition to this, the phone will be integrated with a dual camera setup at the back with a 20-megapixel sensor and the front-facing camera which boasts a 12-megapixel shooting capability.
Galaxy S9 Mini
Although it has not been a while since the S9 broke out into the mobile market scene, it seems Samsung is planning on debuting another device in the lineup, albeit a mini version. According to the latest leaks, the Galaxy S9 Mini has been spotted on Geekbench with the model number ‘SM-G8750.’ The listing says that the device will come with Snapdragon 660 SoC partnered with 4GB of RAM.
NDTV says that other than the information provided, other details about the device remains unknown. They also indicate that no credible source has confirmed whether this device is indeed the Galaxy S9 mini.
Galaxy Note 9
Another Samsung device making waves in the mobile scene is the rumored Galaxy Note 9. According to BGR, from the numerous devices slated for a release this year, the Note 9 is probably the only one whose release, though still unconfirmed by Samsung, is almost confirmed with past Note unveilings lying on the same timeline in the third quarter. In terms of design, the new Galaxy Note 9 is said to be taking inspiration from its predecessor the Note 8. Specs-wise, the device will come imbued with similar internals with the S9 series, which includes a Snapdragon 845 processor. However, they also argue that Samsung might come out with another variant sporting their latest Exynos 9810 chipset.
