After a successful campaign for their current line, the OnePlus 6, we might see another addition the to the OnePlus family. The Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone maker is now working on a new line that perhaps will be called OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7.

Initially released just May of this year, the OnPlus 6 featured a less expensive phone pack with top end specs that can match up with other high ends, expensive smartphones in the market. This is the specific reason why people are looking forward to the next installment in the series.

Like the recent trends seen from the company, it is viable to believe that the phone maker will give us OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 as early as the last part of the year up until midway 2019. This was shown in the last few versions of the company’s releases.

OnePlus 5 was released June of last year featuring a 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED display while the 5T got a bigger display that featured a 6-inch Optic AMOLED. This was released November of the same year which may be the case for the new flagships.

From the company’s start in 2013, they have come a long way now and proved that they can provide one of the best phones in the current market. OnePlus is now a respected company in the industry. With their main goal of providing a balanced high-end quality with a lower price tag compared to the other competitors.

The new installments may feature some continuity in the design of the current model. We may get a glass back from these two new models just like what we have with the current OnePlus 6.

Some of the OnePlus fans are hoping that the OnePlus 6T and the OnePlus 7 will get some improvements in the screen section and hopefully will get a QHD display. I can understand the argument that this will make the phone significantly higher in terms of pricing but it would make a good trade and would be a nice fit for the phone’s large screen.

Another noteworthy detail would be the water resistance rating. OnePlus 6 is known to be sort of a water-resistant phone but an IP rated water and dust resistant certification would give the users peace of mind in case something happened and we accidentally dropped the phone on a watery surface.

Wireless charging is also a trend for new flagship phones and will not be surprised if one day, we will see a wireless charging capability from the new models. This is clearly one of the biggest improvement that most people look forward to for the new OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7.

One more improvement to work on would be for some of the screen gestures like the double-tap to wake. There were instances that this feature seems to be not working properly and hopefully, we’ll be able to get it fixed in the upcoming models or possibly they could get it fixed using a software update on the current model.

Lastly, a recent trend on the latest smartphones would be the notch. The notch is a bit smaller but still, some people think that it would be better design-wise when they get rid of the notch or at the very least, do something about it. I know that the notch is a consideration for the internals but hopefully, the team can find something that can improve it with coming OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7.
