NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080, GTX 2070 Might Feature Ampere GA104, April Release Possible?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 and GTX 2070 To Sport Ampere GA104
There have been a lot of rumors about the much-anticipated cards from NVIDIA, the GeForce GTX 2080 and GTX 2070. These cards are supposed to feature a GA104 Ampere GPU, which does seem like a bit of a bounce. This is because a lot of tech enthusiasts are expecting that the American multi-national company will release some form of Volta-based gaming solution.
It is also worth noting that the straight jump to Ampere would basically mean saving Volta as an AI and HPC (high-performance computing) architecture. But then, this seems a bit questionable at this moment. Releasing a new gaming architecture would cause quite a disturbance in the gaming industry as well. Looking for a decent graphics card in stock is already quite problematic due to the mining craze.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 and GTX 2070 Release Date
NVIDIA’s usual release tempo would hint that the GTX 20 Series will launch with the GeForce GTX 2080 and GeForce GTX 2070. This release is expected to be trailed by a more inexpensive GTX 2060 later in 2018 before the top GeForce GTX 2080 Ti consequently takeoffs in 2019.
The next huge question will be how powerful the GeForce GTX 2080 and GTX 2070 might be? As of this moment, only a few speculations are available about the GeForce GTX 20 Series. It is rumored that these cards will have a potential 20-30% performance gain when compared with Pascal. It’s supposed that both might make use of the forthcoming GDDR6 memory standard. This memory has the benefit of being reasonably cheaper compared to HBM2.
As of now, these are the known information about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 and GTX 2070. Just in case both will arrive in April, will this be an upgrade time for you? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
