Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 will be held in San Jose on June 4th which is expected to cover a long list of Apple’s products like their new HomePod speakers, Apple TVs, Apple Watches and the classics such as iPhones, iPads and Mac computers. In retrospect, there are people who wanted to see an upgraded and cheaper version of an iconic MacBook Air and some wanted it out of Apple’s product lists.

Now, the rumors regarding the MacBook Air 2018 is leaning towards the fact side. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities Analyst, that this spring, we’ll see a new step up in the MacBook Air with a speculated price range similar or might be lower. With that in mind, people and students who wanted to get a hold of a MacBook without burning those hard-earned bucks might become a reality.

Last year, before the WWDC (2017) event, Bloomberg sources reported that “The Company [Apple] has also considered updating the aging 13-inch MacBook Air with a new processor as sales of the laptop, Apple’s cheapest, remain surprisingly strong”.  The update didn’t happen last year and some folks are looking forward to buffing the MacBook Air’s hardware that is clearly not on par with their competitor.

Better display that comes with higher resolution screens and upgrades on the processor. These are the common requests of people that have used MacBook Air 2018 before to be included in the newer version. Back in 2008, up until this point, there were only a few improvements made for this device and clearly, Chromebook is way ahead of MacBook Air when it comes to specs.

Enthusiasts this year are hoping that this will come to the budget-friendly Mac Line. With the new trend of using USB Type-C, there is a big chance that Apple will include that in the package. Same goes for the processor; it needs an extra boost in its juices.

With all the rumors flying around, nothing is certain yet and we might need to wait for the exact release note coming from Apple itself regarding the fate of MacBook Air line. We might see a new breed of device or we might get better MacBook Air 2018 soon.
