iPhone X Plus - Specs, Pricing, and More
At this point in time, you’ve probably heard the news that Apple is going to be unveiling three new iPhones this 2018. Latest reports say that these devices will come in varying screen sizes – two of which will sport OLED screens and the other an LCD display.
According to Apple Insider, the three new phones are still being kept under a tight lid. However, analyst Jun Zhang filled us in on the devices’ code-names – Jaguar, Porsche, and Rolls-Royce.
Among these three, it’s the ‘Rolls-Royce we’re most excited about as Zhang hinted that this particular device will be the successor to the iPhone X, the iPhone X Plus, and will boast a 6.5-inch OLED screen display.
With this in mind, we’ve collected every detail there is to know about the iPhone X Plus. From specifications to pricing down to color variants, we’ve listed it all down for you. So, sit tight and enjoy the ride!
As of present time, a release for the iPhone X Plus is still not clear – not all too surprising seeing as Apple hasn’t confirmed its existence yet. However, if we base our estimates on Apple’s annual release schedule, then the phone might debut somewhere in autumn or fall of this year. But taking into account the sheer number of new iPhones (three), it’s still possible for the phone to see an outing much later than that date, giving way to the release of the two other models.
In terms of colors, there will likely be no major changes when it comes to the iPhone X Plus. According to T3, Apple will be sticking with the silver and space grey we saw on the iPhone X, but they also believe that Gold will also be a part of this venture.
It’s also a possibility for the new model to come in a limited edition red color – same with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. But as you all know, the phone’s closer kin, the iPhone X, didn’t attend the party – so, it’s still really up to Apple at this point.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, the new iPhone X Plus is slated to come with a bigger OLED screen display of 6.5 inches – a large leap from the iPhone X’s 5.8-inch screen. News also point to a new processor, the A12 chip, which will make use of TSMC’s newest 7nm manufacturing process.
Other than this, there have been little to no indications as to what improvements will appear on the new iPhone X Plus. However, if we go by the book then, enhancements in terms of camera setup and software will likely be taking place. Aside from this, speculations insist that the new iPhone will have a stainless steel framing – a bid to further improve device connectivity.
When it comes to pricing, it’s already widely known that the new iPhone X Plus will cost more than its predecessor. The iPhone X starts at an already whopping $999, basing it on this particular pattern, it’s safe to assume that the iPhone X Plus will value at a much higher rate – maybe around $1200 or $1300.
