iPhone SE 2 Featuring iPhone X-Style Design Spotted in Likely Fake Video
A Japanese blog site Macotakara has reshared this morning a Weibo post from Kimmi_刷热门专用微博, containing photos and videos of the unlikely iPhone SE 2. The new 30-second video shows features between an iPhone SE and an iPhone X.
The device appeared in the video is probably an Android clone device. It has the notch at the front, an edge-to-edge display, and a vertical dual rear camera in a body that is also seen in the current iPhone X camera. iPhone SE 2 also appears to be running iOS. The device also has a swipe-up-to-go-home gesture.
iPhone SE 2, as seen in the video, has the Jet Black color that the iPhone 7 has. However, it doesn’t have the Touch ID, giant bezels, and a Home button. The device is equipped with the True Depth camera. iPhone SE 2 can be unlocked by Face ID much similar to iPhone X.
Apple has been rumored to be working on a new second-generation iPhone SE. However, no indications show any design elements like iPhone X. This recent report suggests that this iPhone SE 2 will not launch in the first half of 2018.
For its upcoming 2018 iPhone line-up, the tech giant Apple is reportedly expected to unveil three iPhones with minimal bezels, edge-to-edge displays, and the new True Depth camera system enabling Face ID. First, an updated, second-generation iPhone X will have a 5.8-inch OLED display. Next, iPhone X Plus will have a 6.5-inch display. Lastly, a cheaper iPhone may be iPhone SE 2 will have a 6.1-inch LCD display with lower end specs.
So far, the likelihood of iPhone SE 2 to arrive in the market in the first half of the year is next to nothing. The video doesn’t indicate that iPhone SE 2 is a valid Apple product at all. It conflicts with the rumors circulating now. Many similar fake devices can be found in China where the new video originated.
