The tech giant Apple is rumored to release the next generation of iPad Pro 2018 (iPad Pro 3) lineup this coming fall likely alongside the new 2018 iPhones—the iPhone X Plus, iPhone 11, and iPhone 9. So far, this year, the company just unveiled one iPad with the 9.7-inch display and Apple Pencil support.

According to Macworld, the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from the TF International Securities speculated that the upcoming iPad Pro 2018 models will have the respective displays of 11 inches and 12.9 inches. An edge-to-edge screen with slimmer, smaller bezels will be present. There will be the Smart Connector and the ultraportable Smart Keyboard for easy typing.

Then, last October 2017, Kuo predicted the TrueDepth Camera for Animoji and the Face ID technology will be included. Many reports suggested that the Home button will no longer be seen. The Face ID will be replacing the Touch ID. Then, last month, developer Steven Troughton-Smith recently discovered and tweeted the iPad version of AvatarKit software that Animoji uses.

In terms of specification, all the upcoming iPad Pro 3 will feature the A11X Bionic processor. The A11 Bionic is the processor of both the current iPhone 8 and iPhone X and is already incredibly fast. The company is fond of releasing a modified version of the processor in the preceding iPhone. When the iPhone 7 came out with an A10 Fusion chip, all the iPads arrived with an A10X Fusion.

The release date Kuo wrote in his note on June 2016 is expected to arrive in the second half of this year—likely this September. There is a high possibility that the prices of the upcoming models will be around the same price point as the last year’s iPad Pro variants. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro model started at the price of £619 (around $649) for the 64GB storage, and the bigger 12.9-inch variant was priced at £769 (around $799).
