Apple Already Stopped Signing iOS 11.3.1 But iOS 11.4 Users Can Still Downgrade For Jailbreak, Here’s How
Apple already stopped signing for the iOS 11.3.1 as the iOS 11.4 released. In case you already upgraded to the newest iOS version but wanted to downgrade you can still do so since iOS 11.3 beta 5 and beta 6 are still being signed.
According to Redmond Pie, one of the current talks in the jailbreak community is pointing at Apple’s iOS 11.3.1 platform. As a matter of fact, CoolStar has already confirmed that an updated version of Electra will arrive to support the iOS 11.3.1 soon. With that being said, it is slightly a bad news for those on iOS 11.4 to learn that the Cupertino-based tech giant is no longer signing iOS 11.3.1.
Nonetheless, there is still good news. The iOS 11.3.1 may no longer be being offered by Apple but for a reason, it’s been publicized that the iOS 11.3 beta 5 and beta 6 are still being signed. With that being said, if you were able to get access to and was able to install one of those betas, then you’d be placed on an iOS version which will be supported by the forthcoming jailbreak.
Even though it’s not really ideal to have a beta version of any software installed on your handset, it is still better than staying on a version of iOS that can’t be jailbroken by the upcoming toolkit. The condition is also aided by the fact that iOS 11.3 beta 5 and beta 6 are generally categorized as mature forms of that specific version. Also, the situation would be completely different if you’ll have to install the first or second pre-launch seed of iOS 11.3.
Is your device running on iOS 11.4? Would you consider downgrading your iOS version to iOS 11.3 beta 5 and beta 6 to become eligible for the upcoming Electra iOS 11.3 jailbreak? Please share your thoughts and opinions with us in the comment section below!
