Apple Watch Series 4: Concept Design, Release Date, Price, Specs and Features
One of the highly anticipated smartwatches this year is the Apple Watch Series 4, so it comes to no surprise that everyone is on the lookout for new details regarding the said device. This time around, an amazing concept design video was published featuring the device.
The Concept Video
The video is 3:04 long and was posted on YouTube by Concept Creator on July 21, 2018. In the video, we can see a total of 4 watches. Two watches with a black strap, while the remaining two features a white strap and the other a teal colored strap. The watches also feature a bigger, bezel-free display and rounded corners which go in the line from the recent rumors about Apple’s upcoming smartwatches.
Rumored Specs & Features
According to a report, the Apple Watch Series 4 will come in two sizes: 40 mm and 45 mm. Comparing them to the currently available models, it seems a bit impressive as they come in 38 mm and 42 mm.
In fact, even well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that for this year’s smartwatches from Apple, it will be 15% larger. Aside from this, he also predicted that it will have improved health monitoring capabilities and longer battery life compared to the current series.
Previous rumors also suggested that Apple Watch 4 will have touch-sensitive buttons on the sides and haptic feedback instead of physical equivalents. Meanwhile, another rumor claims that the buttons will be replaced with solid-state buttons which in return will make more water-resistant because there will no gap needed for improvement and will also free up space for a larger battery.
When Will It Be Released?
It is expected to be announced in September along with the 2018 iPhones. Following that will be its release date which could probably be in late September or early October.
How Much Will It Cost?
Regarding its price, a report suggests that its starting price could likely be around the same as the Apple Watch 3 which starts at around £329 / $329 / AU$459 for the smaller 38mm version. Keep in mind that this is only the starting price so it will increase if you choose the larger version or opt for LTE connectivity, as well as the casing and strap material.
